What was recalled
A red and grey bagless cylinder vacuum cleaner supplied with a flexible hose and accessories.
Why it was recalled
The product presents a risk of fire because the cross-sectional area of the supply cord was 0.454 mm², which is smaller than the required minimum of 0.75 mm². Undersized supply cords may overheat during normal use, which could lead to the product catching fire. Improvements are also required to both the product markings and warnings.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
