Works of the U.S. federal government are in the public domain: no licence conditions apply and no attribution is required. We credit the source on every page regardless, because a reader deserves to know where a safety notice came from.

What we do not reproduce

No departmental logo, crest, coat of arms, royal arms or other official symbol appears anywhere on this site. Those are excluded from the licences above, and we have no need of them: the pages carry our own branding precisely so that nobody mistakes this for a government website.

Photographs

Where a regulator publishes a product photograph as part of its notice, we mirror it so the picture still loads if their copy moves. The UK's Office for Product Safety and Standards publishes its photographs only inside PDF attachments, so UK pages carry no product photograph at all rather than a picture of a document.
