We reformat, and this is us saying so

Every page here is built from a regulator's own record, but it is not a copy of their page. We pull out the fields that answer "do I own this, and what do I do", lay them out our way, and shorten the hazard to a phrase for listings and cards. Nothing is added, and nothing is rewritten to mean something else — but the arrangement is ours, so the material is modified within the meaning of these licences. CC BY 4.0 requires that to be stated; the ACCC's own guidance is to say Based on ACCC data, which is what our Australian pages say. Where anything here differs from the official notice, the notice is right.

The licences above supply this information without warranties of any kind, and neither the regulators nor this site guarantee that a page is accurate, complete or current. This is a signpost to an official notice, not a substitute for one — and not legal, safety or medical advice. Every recall page links to the original; check it before acting.

Not an official source, and not endorsed by anyone

It is not a government body, it is not affiliated with any of the organisations above, and nothing here should be read as suggesting that any of them endorse this site or its use of their information. Where this site disagrees with an official notice, the official notice is correct and this site is not — every recall page links to the original so you can check.

What we do not reproduce

No departmental logo, crest, coat of arms, royal arms or other official symbol appears anywhere on this site. Those are excluded from the licences above, and we have no need of them: the pages carry our own branding precisely so that nobody mistakes this for a government website.

Photographs

Where a regulator publishes a product photograph as part of its notice, we mirror it so the picture still loads if their copy moves. The UK's Office for Product Safety and Standards publishes its photographs only inside PDF attachments, so UK pages carry no product photograph at all rather than a picture of a document.
