What was recalled
This recall involves the Portable Clip-On Rechargeable Mini Fan, SKU 49901 and UPC 062823499010. The fan is rechargeable by USB charging cable. The battery compartment is not intended to be opened or the battery to be replaced by consumers.
Why it was recalled
The recalled fan has a battery compartment that is not sealed or labelled with clear polarity markings which could lead the consumer to insert a battery in reverse polarity, posing a potential fire hazard.
As of July 26, 2026, the company has received 1 report of an incident and no reports of injury in Canada.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to CTG Brands Inc. for a refund.
