What was recalled

This recall involves the Safrax ODOR-CLO2 Chlorine Dioxide Odor Removal- Air Freshener & Deodorizer. The white, blue, and red plastic packages (500g) contain tablets and are identified by ASIN B09LDCNKGY on Amazon.ca or the UPC 00860007140822.

Why it was recalled

The recalled product does not meet the labelling and child-resistant packaging requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. 

The lack of appropriate labelling information and child-resistant packaging could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness or injury including death.

As of June 2, 2026, the company has received no reports of incident or injury in Canada.

What to do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recall product and dispose of it according to municipal hazardous waste guidelines.
