What was recalled
This recall involves Hustler and BigDog brand LED Light Kits and Light Bars sold as an OEM accessory for residential and commercial ride-on mowing equipment. Each kit contains two LED Light Bars, a wiring harness, a metal mounting plate and a light switch (if equipped). Configurations vary by model. The LED Light Bars could have been sold separately without the kit.
Why it was recalled
Under certain unusual operating conditions, temporary voltage surges may cause the LED Light Bars to overheat, posing a fire hazard.
As of August 21, 2026, the company has received no reports of incident or injury in Canada or the United States.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact the selling dealer. Affected consumers should unplug the LED Light Bars to eliminate the hazard and have their dealer uninstall the LED Light Kit and destroy the light bars free of charge. Consumers will receive a refund of the purchase price of the kit, including installation labour.
