What was recalled
This recall involves the Wyze Solar Cam Pan outdoor security camera with model number WYZESCPWH located on the back of the camera. The product is a battery-powered, solar assisted, wireless camera equipped with motorized pan and tilt functionality, integrated lithium-ion battery and an integrated solar panel for recharging.
Why it was recalled
Incorrect assembly instructions can lead consumers to puncture the lithium-ion battery’s metal casing and cause the battery to rapidly overheat, posing fire or burn hazards.
As of May 5, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 12 reports of incidents and 5 reports of burn injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Wyze Solar Cam Pan and visit the Wyze Labs Inc website for the company’s refund process.
