What was recalled

This recall involves Harkla Children’s Compression Sensory Swings that have a blue fabric seat and come with a four-hole ceiling hook mounting plate for suspension, with a drop length of 18 to 24 inches. The SKUs that are included in the recall are in the table below. The SKU number is printed on the side of the product packaging.

Why it was recalled

The swing’s ceiling hook can separate from its mounting plate, posing a risk of injury from a fall hazard.

As of October 23, 2026, the company has received 4 reports of the hook separating from the mounting plate and 1 report of injury in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 29 reports of the hook separating from the mounting plate and 17 reports of injuries.

What to do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Harkla to obtain a repair kit. The repair kit consists of a replacement ceiling hook mounting plate, a safety strap and updated swing installation instructions. Consumers will be asked to go to https://harkla.co/pages/ceiling-hook-recall-2026 to register. Consumers should then dispose of the hooks according to municipal waste guidelines.
