What was recalled
This recall involves the 3-inch black fascia manual roller shades custom made by Greystone Blinds. The manual roller shade configuration includes a 3-inch black fascia, medium 1 ½ inch tube, metal chain with shroud and stitched hembar.
Why it was recalled
Health Canada has determined that the recalled manual roller shades do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death. In addition, the products can also release small parts that present a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Window Covering Safety.
As of August 10, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
