What was recalled
This recall involves Cosyland Kids Kitchen Step Stools, model #CS0003. The tower stools were sold in natural bamboo, and measure about 16 inches deep by 18 inches wide and 35 inches tall. “COSYLAND” and warning labels are visible along the top rails.
Why it was recalled
The recalled Kids Kitchen Step Stools can collapse or tip over while in use, and a child’s torso can fit through the openings on the front and back sides, posing a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards.
As of June 1, 2026, the company has received no reports of incident or injury in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 25 reports of incidents involving stability issues and falls and 8 reports of injuries ranging from scrapes and contusions to a fractured arm.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and store them away from children until repaired. Contact Wan Yi for repair parts, which include protective nets, stabilizing feet, and installation instructions. The firm will mail the repair parts directly to consumers free of charge.
