What was recalled
This recall involves Apeks second stage scuba regulators in models XL4, XL4+ and XL4 Ocea in various colors or color combinations of black, white, grey, mint or yellow with serial numbers between 250402212 and 260402893. The serial number is laser-etched on the side of the regulator.
Why it was recalled
When at depths exceeding 50 meters (147 feet), the regulator may not deliver sufficient breathing gas when required, posing a risk of inadequate air supply to the diver at depth.
As of August 5, 2026, the company has received no reports of incident or injury in Canada. In the United States, there have been no reports of incidents or injuries.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled regulators and contact an authorized HEAD Watersports retailer for a free repair.
