What was recalled

White universal travel adaptor with USB output.

Why it was recalled

The product presents a risk of electric shock because the shutters do not prevent access to live internal parts. A consumer could touch these parts and receive an electric shock. In addition, the plug face does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and does not make a secure connection with the socket. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

What to do

The local authority is requiring the recall of the product from end users.

Consumers who own the product are advised to stop using it immediately and contact the distributor they purchased from for redress.
