What was recalled
Over the ear hearing protection and communications headset designed for military and civil defence personnel.
Why it was recalled
The product presents a serious risk of hearing loss because affected batches may emit feedback noise (measured up to 106 dBA) through the headset speakers. The likelihood of occurrence of this issue can be increased in cold ambient temperatures and with a depleted battery state.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment and the applicable standards: EN 352-1:2020, EN 352-4:2020, EN 352-6:2020.
What to do
The product has been recalled from distributors by 3M United Kingdom PLC. A Stop Use Notification has been issued.
