What was recalled

Black diving cylinder with fluorescent yellow and black branding.

Why it was recalled

The product presents a serious risk of drowning as it failed depth testing and does not meet the requirements of BS EN 250:2014. The maximum depth reached by the apparatus without exceeding the requirements was 5 metres, not the 50m required. If the product is used in depths beyond 5 metres, it may stop operating.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment.

What to do

The distributor, Mike’s Dive Store, has recalled the product from end users.

Owners are advised to stop using the product immediately and return the product to Mike’s Dive Store for redress.
