What was recalled

High-purity, zinc-rich cold galvanizing paint designed to protect steel in tough conditions.

  • SKU: GGCG1L, GGCG4L
  • Batch numbers: 190733, 191828, 190697, 192201
  • Best before: 11 December 2029

Why it was recalled

The container may bulge or swell due to internal pressure build up. Contents can be expelled when the container is opened.

What to do

  1. Stop using the product immediately and visually inspect the product for any signs of bulge or swelling. When inspecting the product wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing and enclosed safety footwear.
  2. Do not shake, drop, puncture, pierce, crush, or attempt to relieve pressure from the can.
  3. If the product shows signs of bulge or swelling do not handle the product, please contact ITW Customer Service.
  4. Contact ITW Customer Service if you have an affected container or require further assistance with identifying if your product is affected. ITW Customer Service will provide information about the refund and instructions for safe disposal of the paint.
